ADMISSIONS for non-English speaking students

1. Admission Requirements.
• Must have graduated from high school or earned an equivalent degree (GED).
• All students for whom English is not a primary language need to take the TOEFL exam or present the result for the TOEFL exam equal to:
60 iBT/500 PBT for conditional admission,
79 iBT/550 PBT for regular admission.

* For those who can not take TOEFL exam /present results ELP coursework (ENGLBEG, ENGLINT, etc,) should be taken prior to enrolling in ENGL 100.
Academy is test-optional, which means that prospective conditional students have the opportunity to apply for admission without submitting an ACT or SAT score.
Students will indicate on the application whether they would like SAT or ACT exam scores included in their evaluation. 
All the students who can not present the test score will have to take English classes recommended by the counselor.

Applicants who would like to have test scores considered will have the ability to self-report scores on the application. Admitted students who chose to apply with self-reported test scores will be required to provide official test results to the Academy before they can enroll. ACT or SAT scores should be sent directly to the Academy by the testing agency. The ACT code is 2032; the SAT code is 1465.
* The writing portion is recommended, but not required.

ADMISSIONS for English-speaking students

BA Students in Economics – 4 years
1. Admission Requirements
• Must have at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA.
• Must have graduated from high school or earned an equivalent degree (GED).
• Students with fewer than 15-semester credits post-high school must apply as transfer students and meet the
admission requirements for first-time college students. In addition, students are required to:
a. Submit SAT/ACT scores, or
b. If no test scores, the Post Traditional Test-Optional Rubric process will be used.
*All students who do not satisfy the minimum SAT or ACT scoring standards in this area must enroll in ENGL 100. *Students for whom English is not a primary language may need to take ELP coursework (ENGLBEG, ENGLINT) prior to enrolling in ENGL 100.

3. The graduation requirements. Every Academy student will take approximately 36-44 credits of the core curriculum. These classes will ensure a robust academic experience and lay the groundwork for the major. Core curriculum classes span a variety of economy subjects, English, and communications. In addition, the dissertation will be a final evaluation work to assess the knowledge of the core curriculum.
